Palindrome

Live a whole life just to find it's a palindrome
Holdin that line just to give me a better home
And now I'm living it down
When I was born I was kissin it all goodbye
Can't stay in my head 'cause death is a friend of mine
When you go selling the truth
Looking for time and a one-way ride to go again
When I say it's time
Giving you one last chance to lie
'Cause the lore is true
And it's bound to get you
But it'll be alright, it won't let you down
Live a whole life just to find it's a palindrome
It's blackened before and after the light is gone
When I go back in time
Finding myself just to let me know it's all the same

Deal With It
03:01

Well I'm rattled from my chin to my feet
Melatonin help me sleep through the heat
I've been shrinking my head, holdin my breath
Out of luck and beaten down in the street
My God I got bad news for losing you
This union's gonna ride out my doubt
I imagine these bad days won't help me out
'Cause I ain't like that
You got to deal with it
She just a misunderstood child
I should've said what I said in absence of innocence
It's just a scary little world, and everybody's in on it
Well I'm working not to turn out the light
I'll have another if you make it on ice
I got holes in my head, I'm choking to death
on my pride that's too wretched to bow out now
I got bad news for you by God
My affection can be dropped on a dime
Then her voice came crashing over mine
She said I ain't like that
You got to deal with it

100,000

In 1937 the catastrophe was calm
And it stretched from Pittsburgh to Cairo, Illinois
A hundred died, a million left without a home
And losses reached five hundred million bones
All resources strained just to aid recovery
Then 100,000 years for free
January 5th the levels began to rise
And on the 10th the warnings start to fly
On the 13th record rainfalls hit the ground
And on the 23rd martial law hit the first town
All the while the great depression screamed the end is nigh
And 100,000 years gone by
River gauges reached from 57 to 80 feet
The highest in our history
Seventy percent of everything was washed away
But they lit their candles in their windowsills anyway
On February 5th the water started to recede
For the first time in nearly three weeks
Warm gasoline covered water hit the street
And victims filed appeal for efforts of relief
Families and relatives relocate to higher ground
In 100,000 years from now
